HistoryIn 1836, Brownsburg Indiana was founded with the opening of a post office. It was named after one of the first settlers to the town, James B. Brown. Brownsburg was incorporated in 1848, but remained fairly quiet until the past couple of decades when the population began to expand by over 90%.
